    Brief Description

Internalizing that the center of Christmas celebration is Jesus Christ, the Nativity will always play a central place in the Maayon Christmas Village. Accessories associated with Christmas will fill the village atmosphere fully loaded with Christmas lights and colors both attractive during day and night times.

Webbing the provincial desire to showcase “Paskwa ni Juone” in the Christmas Village is challenging because in reality, today Christmas celebration in Capiz has in no far different with how it is celebrated throughout the Christian world.

With “Paskwa ni Juone” as a theme for the Christmas Village, creativity will be at its best in Maayon, especially with the guideline to highlight local culture and products. It is on these premises that the 2024 Christmas Village will basically integrate the tag name for Maayon as “The Golden Charm of Capiz” to a harmonious amalgamation with universal Christmas spirits.

Angels, sparkling balls, anahaw leaves, stars, Christmas trees, gifts, etc. will still be considered part and parcel of the Maayon Christmas Village concept but with accentuation of oversized colorfully attractive models of local products such as corn, rice, copra, sugarcane, cacao, coconut, and mushrooms, among others.

With the existing elaborate fountain at the center of the village, and the present re-arrangement and new landscaping of the Golden Charm Square, surely will make this year’s Maayon Christmas Village mesmerizing, fantastic and instragrammable.

From the landscaped highway center island as you approach Maayon town, to the welcome arcs, street lanterns and well-adorned Golden Charm Square housing the Christmas Village, one would truly exclaim: “Paskwa ni JuOne sa Maayon: Pinoy na Pinoy kag nagabanaag”!
