About The Festival
The Padagyaw Festival, celebrated every August 1-5 in honor of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, showcases the deep faith and devotion of the Dumaraonons. This vibrant event features cultural performances and reflects the tradition of "Padagyaw," where townsfolk help each other without financial exchange, but instead sharing food and joy. It describes the community's practice of coming together to help one another, celebrating victories as collective successes. This cherished tradition, passed down through generations, remains alive and meaningful to Dumaraonons today.
