About The Festival
The Agdahanay Festival is a vibrant celebration of gratitude to God, marked by the unity and peace that bless the town of Cuarteronhon. Beginning on June 4 with an Opening Salvo and culminating on June 13, the feast day of San Antonio de Padua, the festival features a grand procession through the town's streets. During this procession, a "caro" collects offerings of food, known as "pandesillo ni San Antonio," symbolizing the community's thanks for their blessings. Following a High Mass, these offerings are shared in the Sayaw kay San Antonio, a ritual dance where participants join together in joy and thanksgiving. The festival concludes with the Mayor's invitation, after which all homes open their doors to welcome guests, friends, and strangers alike.
