October in Capiz

Museum and Galleries Month

In accordance with Proclamation No. 798, s.1991, October is dedicated to appreciating the rich history and art preserved in museums and galleries. Special exhibits and educational tours are often organized to encourage locals and tourists to visit these cultural institutions.

National Indigenous Peoples Month

Based on Proclamation No. 1906, s.2009, this month honors the contributions and rich heritage of the indigenous communities in Capiz, particularly the Panay-Bukidnon people in Tapaz. Activities include cultural presentations, dialogues, and showcases of their traditional crafts and practices.
