Capiztahan Festival
Capiztahan is the premier festival of the province, commemorating its founding anniversary as a civil province. This week-long celebration is a grand showcase of Capiz's culture, products, and history. The festivities include a spectacular parade of festivals from different municipalities, the Maragtas sa Capiz historical parade, major sporting events, job fairs, trade expos showcasing local products, and nightly entertainment featuring famous artists. It is a time when the entire province comes together in Roxas City for a grand celebration.
National Filipino Food Month
As per Proclamation No. 469, s.2018, April is a month to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the Philippines. In Capiz, the Seafood Capital, this means a special focus on local seafood delicacies through food fairs, cooking demonstrations, and special menus at local restaurants.
National Literature Month & International Dance Day
April also hosts celebrations for literature and dance. The province organizes events such as poetry readings, book fairs, and dance workshops and performances to honor and promote these vital art forms among Capiznons.
